Ethanol Maintenance Manager

Sheldon, IA | Direct Hire

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager that has the skill set and experience to lead!  This is a full time, salary based position with full benefits.  The role will be overseeing 10 technicians, hours will primarily be 8am-4:30pm with flexibility to work longer days.  

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enforce all safety programs and procedures.
  • Maintain a team environment with other departments.
  • Train maintenance technicians.
  • Schedule work load of maintenance technicians.
  • Develop work orders to ensure that scheduled tasks get completed in a safe and timely manner.
  • Establish, maintain, and manage a preventative maintenance schedule for all operational systems.
  • Establish, maintain, and manage history database so completed repairs can be reviewed as needed.
  • Manage the organization of maintenance manuals so maintenance employees can easily access when needed.
  • Establish, maintain, and manage a Purchase Order for all replacement parts.
  • Order replacement parts in a timely manner.
  • Establish, maintain, and manage replacement part database so replacement parts inventory can be easily maintained.
  • Manage replacement parts requests from other maintenance technicians.
  • Receive and arrange replacement parts in an organized manner so they can be easily located when needed.
  • Manage a tool database and inventory.
  • Maintain an equipment warranty database.
  • Work directly with Plant Manager, and all parts vendors and sales representatives to ensure replacement parts meet process specification.
  • Work with Plant Manager to maintain a sufficient replacement part inventory.
  • Manage cleanliness of department.
  • Have a general knowledge of DCS and processing.
  • Maintain a data log for emissions, inspectors, security permits, permit data logging, and fire extinguisher inspections, etc.
  • Available for “on call duty”

To perform this job to best of ability, candidates must be able to:

 

Physical Requirements:

 -  The employee must be able to lift 60# lbs.

-  Must be able to climb ladders and steps

-  Must be able to work in heights above 120 feet in the air

 

Work environment while performing the duties of this job:

-  The employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.

-  The employee is exposed to dusty conditions

-  The employee is exposed to high noise levels

-  The employee is exposed to outside weather in all conditions

-  The employee will be exposed to chemicals used in the process

-  The employee needs to be able to work in confined space areas as needed
