Production Planner

Pella, IA | Direct Hire

Job ID: 0193-007 Industry: Manufacturing Pay Rate: $50,000+/hr DOE

Aventure Staffing is looking for an experienced Production Planner for our client in the Pella, IA area. This position will be hired directly by the company, and will offer an excellent benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings, vacation and bonus potential. The Production Planner will be working for a company in the manufacturing industry creating and maintaining the production schedule based on demand planning, customer orders, internal capacity and other factors. The Production Planner will be responsible for scheduling product flow and ensuring timely completion of orders.

Hours: Monday-Friday 40-45 hours/week, day shift hours

The Production Planner will:

  • Plan and manage production schedule to meet delivery commitments and best utilize capacity
  • Track customer demand and sales forecasts to adjust production schedule
  • Adjust schedule to match customer delivery and inventory targets
  • Monitors status of material usage
  • Monitors physical inventory status
  • Provide weekly and daily reports to management and sales teams
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure delivery, machine efficiency and materials targets are met
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer orders and material utilization targets are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • Requires 3-5 years experience as a Production Planner/Scheduler in a  low volume/high mix manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience utilizing  MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience with Lean and Just In Time manufacturing principles
  • Strong organizational, time management and collaborative skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and other general software products
  • General computer and internet literacy
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is a plus
  • APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional certification preferred
