Transfer Worker
$14.50 Starting Pay ($21.75/hr for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday)
Tuesday-Wednesday & Saturday-Sunday, 4am - until the work is complete
An established agricultural processing facility in the Algona, IA area is looking for reliable and self-motivated individuals to join their team! As a Transfer Worker, you will be responsible for monitoring eggs/chicks throughout the incubation and hatching stages. Responsibilities:
- Take trays of incubated eggs to be vaccinated
- Follow job instructions regarding which set of eggs to transfer and quantities
- Check on incubators to ensure proper temperature, humidity, etc.
- Transfer to hatchers once the incubation period is complete
- Clean and sanitize incubators once chicks have hatched
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Follow all company policies and safety requirements
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Frequently
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs over the head/shoulders repetitively
- Must be able to to stand for extended periods of time (10+ hours)
- Must be able to use hands, wrists and back repetitively throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a dusty, hot & cold, and sometimes wet environment
- Demonstrated consistent and regular attendance
- Must be self-motivated and organized
- Prior production experience is preferred but not required
