Busy manufacturing client needs an organized Buyer to handle cost, inventory levels, on-time delivery and sourcing.   

Duties of this Buyer will include:

  • Process PO suggestions and purchase orders in ERP/MRP system.
  • Analyze material/inventory requirements and expedites material as needed.
  • Develop cost saving initiatives and process improvements and source new suppliers.
  • Prepare, issue and review RFQ's.
  • Coordinate incoming material scheduling with Transportation Manager.
  • Resolve problems, review reports, and interact with other departments to resolve issues that need attention.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • 2 - 4 years of recent purchasing experience 
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Professional communication skills
  • Steel procurement experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency and experience working with ERP/MRP
  • Strong attention to detail
