Overhead Crane Operator  | $17.00+DOE /hr

Monday–Friday 7am-3:30pm some overtime as needed. 

A locally owned steel company  in Sioux City, Iowa is looking for an overhead crane operator to join their team! This position works both independently and on a team to move sheets of metals.  This is a great opportunity to work with a long-term, reputable steel company in the area. This is an overhead crane operator with only a select number of positions available at State Steel. Apply now while openings are available!

Responsibilities:  

• Load and unload trucks by operating an overhead crane.
• Checking sheets of metal for imperfections.
• Keep shop and areas clean.

• Other Duties as Assigned.

Requirements:

• Heavy physical lifting, reaching, stooping and kneeling.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, saws, and tape measure.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
