Industrial/Work Site Nurse - $60k-$80k DOE

A Manufacturing Plant in Wayne, NE is hiring an Industrial/Work Site Nurse to join their growing team. As the Industrial Nurse you will care for and provide treatment to patients suffering from job related illnesses and injuries. Oversee OSHA related compliance activities; work as a medical liaison between management, doctors, and hourly workers; analyze and monitor medical related costs and safety trend costs; and report recommendation to leadership team; administer in-house medical and safety services, accident reporting and  investigations. Provide drug screen and medical screenings.

Responsibilities:

• Tend and care for employees injured or fallen sick at the workplace.
• Provide emergency care to employees.
• Mention any noticeable abnormalities to the management and higher authorities.
• Alert the doctor in case the patient develops complications or new illnesses.
• Document and record all workplace injury.
• Provide drug screens to new hires, post accidents and suspicions.
• Perform medical screenings to new hires.
• Maintain Worker’s Comp files and document lost time hours.

Requirements:

• Education: Two-year college Degree in Nursing (LPN or RN), CPR certified. 
• Should be comfortable working with patients with various health conditions and temperaments.
• Provide care throughout the time span of the shift.
• Documentation of the injury of illness.
• Monitor the work environment for potential exposures.
