Plant Manager | Salary $150k w/ potential of annual bonus up to $10k
An established food manufacturing company located in Milford, IA is looking for a Plant Manager to join their team. The Plant Manager oversees daily processing operations and demonstrates commitment to employee safety, product quality, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety for all employees under their supervision ensuring safety orientation and training of employees, enforce safe work practices, correct unsafe conditions, prevent lingering unsafe or unhealthy workplace conditions.
- Manages plant staffing based on approved Employee Headcount plan.
- Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and achieve greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Works with all Departments to maintain an audit/tour ready facility. Ensures facilities are audit/tour ready in compliance with policies and procedures, FDA/USDA regulations, and customer specifications.
- Direct and manage plant operations for production.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of seven years of experience in food manufacturing management in a process-oriented operations and/or related industry. A minimum of five years of experience managing a significant segment of a large food manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience & knowledge in MS Office products (Excel & Word) and SAP preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification preferred.
