In this Accounting Department Supervisor, you are responsible for:

• Financial Close Process including Product Costing
  
  • Review, Analysis, & journal preparation for turnaround cost
  • Entry & Reconciliation of production and transfer tons
  • Distributions & assessment processing
  • Processing of Product Costing
• Chemical Inventory
  • Calculation and journal entry preparation for chemical inventory cost
  • Cost analysis & reporting
• Local Key  Performance Indicators
  • Cost analysis & reporting
• Variance Analysis 
  • Monthly plan cost variance analysis
• Local Financial & Cost Reporting Enhancements
• Finished Goods Inventory Reconciliation
  • Assist in reconciliation & tracking of finished goods shipments
• Asset Componentization & Closure
  • Assist with the preparation & distribution of the AFE Status Report monthly
  • Assist with the close of AFE's to fixed assets accurately & on time
• Internal Controls
  • Establishes & implements processes & procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements
  • Ensures that established processes/procedures are followed as designed.
  • Works with Internal Controls Department to identify deficiencies in existing processes/procedure, the need for new ones and the extent to which processes/procedures are being followed.

In Order to apply for this role, you must have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Five to Seven (5-7) Years of Experience in accounting roles with increasing levels of responsibility
• One Year People Supervisory Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong verbal & written communication & organizational skills.
• Working toward CPA certification
