Accounts Payable Specialist $20/hr Depending on Experience
Monday-Friday 7am-5pm available.
Aventure Staffing is seeking detail oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to work for a well established business in Spencer, IA! This position is primarily responsible for managing accounts payable functions.
This is a Full-Time, IN OFFICE position. Starting at $20.00/hr and will Depend on Experience.
Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume vendor invoices for multiple business entities accurately and efficiently
- Code invoices to the correct entity, department, and general ledger accounts
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents, as applicable
- Verify proper approvals and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal staff
- Prepare and process payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and research and resolve variances
- Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely payments
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience required
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices along with strong math skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization with ability to self-review work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
