Material Handler

$19.00+/hr - DOE  

1st Shift: 7am - 3:30pm 

Are you ready to be a crucial part of a team that keeps production moving? Our staffing agency is seeking a Material Handler to join the team of an agricultural production company located in Belmond, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving incoming materials and ensuring they get to the right place at the right time. This is a temporary position but may be a foot in the door for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process incoming truckloads of seed bins in a timely manner.
• Accurately complete all receiving forms.
• Safely and efficiently move materials to support production lines.
• Read production schedules and work orders to determine material needs.
• Perform inventory and cycle counts.
• Identify and report material shortages to the Inventory Specialist.
• Pull and stage materials for production lines.
• Assist team members with production needs as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure safe start-up and shut down of all equipment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Ability to operate various material handling equipment (pallet jacks, etc.).
• Strong math skills for inventory counts and conversions.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Clean safety record.
• Ability to recognize colors.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts (all shifts are available).

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work is in an industrial warehouse environment.

Pay & Benefits:

• Starting Pay: $19.00+/hr - DOE
