Seasonal Scale Operator
$18/hr

Monday – Friday, Day shift, 40hrs/week + Occasional Saturday & Extended Hours During the Week

A local agronomy business in the Sheldon, IA area is seeking a Seasonal Scale Operator to support operations during the busy harvest season. This temporary but essential role ensures the smooth and accurate flow of agricultural products, with responsibilities ranging from weighing and grading grain to providing customer service and handling administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Operate the scale to accurately weigh inbound and outbound grain trucks.
• Grade grain using both manual tools and computer systems to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Record weight data and customer information in multiple software systems.
• Handle walk-in customers and incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
• Assist with counter sales and respond to inquiries related to account history, bids, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate documentation, filing, and office records.
• Perform general office duties and support daily operations at multiple site locations as needed.

Requirements:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and general office equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional attitude.
