Boiler Operator – Class 1B

$29+/Hr  DOE

We are searching for a Boiler Operator with a class 1-B boiler license for a local company in Blue Earth, MN. This person is responsible for the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of high-pressure steam or hot water boilers in accordance with safety regulations and facility standards.

Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, heat exchangers).
Monitor boiler controls, gauges, and alarms to ensure proper operation.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boiler systems.
Record data such as temperatures, pressures, fuel usage, and maintenance activities in logs or digital systems.
Respond to equipment malfunctions, conduct troubleshooting, and coordinate repairs as needed.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Test boiler water and adjust chemical levels to prevent corrosion or scaling.
Assist with emergency shutdowns or startups.
Qualifications:

Valid Class 1B Boiler Operator License (state-specific).
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in boiler operation.
Knowledge of state and federal boiler regulations and safety codes.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
