Brake Press Operator| $18/hour DOE
1st shift Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm
A local Metal Manufacturing facility is seeking Brake Press Operators to work on 1st shift, 10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday, no weekends! Must have experience running a brake press.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing the machine: Setting up, adjusting, and preparing the press brake as needed
- Managing materials: Ensuring that there are enough raw materials available, and measuring and aligning materials
- Bending and shaping metal: Bending and shaping metal plates and sheets according to blueprints and specifications
- Inspecting products: Evaluating the finished pieces for quality and compliance with standards and specifications
- Performing maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on the press brake
- Maintaining work area: Keeping the work area clean and organized
- Inspecting blueprints, Making adjustments as needed, Monitoring supply levels
- Detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Analytical skills
- Experience running a Brake Press
- Attention to detail
- Good shop math
- Ability to work with a team
- Good work ethic
Pay & Benefits:
- $18/hr. plus Depending on experience
- Paid every Friday
