Cash Application Specialist

$18-$23/hour, Based on Experience

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Cash Application Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of cash receipts, reconciling transactions, and resolving posting issues. If you have a strong background in cash applications and are skilled in maintaining accuracy in high-volume environments, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Process high volumes of daily cash receipts for U.S. customer accounts.
• Post lockbox payments and reconcile transactions across multiple systems.
• Manage and resolve unapplied and unidentified receipts in collaboration with business units.
• Download, post, and reconcile electronic remittance files.
• Work with billing and collections representatives to address posting issues.
• Submit checks to the virtual lockbox scanner as needed.
• Assist with customer setup and ensure data accuracy.
• Respond to inquiries from clients and partners regarding cash applications.
• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 3-5 years of cash application experience (required).
• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience (preferred).
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and organize data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to change and learn new systems quickly.
