Civil Engineer Office Lead/Manager (PE)

Excellent Opportunity!! Looking for a great company to work for that tackles problems that other companies aren't able to? Our established client is looking for a Civil Engineer to lead and support development and management for a wide variety of projects focused mainly on heavy civil engineering as well as industrial facility design and construction.
Responsibilities will include:
- Launch and lead our Sioux Falls office, serving as the local point of contact and operations leader.
- Manage and deliver civil infrastructure projects, primarily in wastewater treatment, conveyance, and utility infrastructure.
- Oversee design-build projects from concept through construction.
- Guide and perform technical civil design, with a secondary focus on structural elements.
- Build and lead a high-performing local engineering team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, agencies, and local partners.
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and client acquisition.
- Navigate local permitting, regulations, and design standards.
Requirements:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Dakota or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 8+ years of experience in civil engineering:
- Experience with design-build project delivery.
- Leadership experience—project or office-level.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Sioux Falls market and regional development trends.
Preferred:
- Existing relationships with South Dakota municipalities or utility agencies.
- Experience growing or managing an office or regional team.
- Business development or proposal experience.
