Continuous Improvement Coordinator
Monday-Thursday with some Fridays, 6am-4:30pm
A local trailer manufacturing company in the Sheldon, IA area is looking for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join their growing team! This position coordinates the Continuous Improvement (CI)/Lean efforts and consults with the Continuous Improvement Core (CIC) group on these efforts. Key activities include training, Lean tool applications, Continuous Improvement events (Kaizen), and developing and supporting the Lean management system.
Primary Duties:
- Developing CI/Lean strategy with general direction and support from the CIC group
- Developing CI facilitators to carry on the CI/Lean efforts
- Leading CI/Lean events
- Applying relevant CI/Lean tools and analytical skills to identify and prioritize CI events
- Coordinate cross-functional groups for CI events
- Developing and providing CI/Lean training materials
- Training and coaching the organization in developing a CI/Lean culture
- Ensure sustainability in 6S and CI events
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) preferred with 3 years of experience in manufacturing
- Experience in leading and coordinating CI group events
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in MS word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and apply problem solving tools
- Detail oriented with ability to accept challenges
