Counter Sales Specialist - $19.00/hr. + DOE

Mon-Fri 7a – 5p

Are you a dependable, customer-oriented professional that is looking for a new opportunity? If so, this job is for you! A local distributing facility is looking for a Counter Sales Specialist to join their team. As a Counter Sales Specialist, you will increase sales and customer satisfaction by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in and telephone customers in the selection and acquisition of needed products.

Responsibilities:

• Take customer orders and accurately enter them into the system.
• Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items as well as new products.
• Quickly retrieve accurate orders from warehouse.
• Handle customer complaints and returns, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Keep merchandising and counter areas clean and attractive.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years in related experience and/or training required. Wholesale distribution experience a plus.
• Minimum of 1-2 years in a progressive position required.
• Must be able to communicate positively with employees, supervisors, sales staff and customers.
• Must be able to use computers and other common office equipment.
• Ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50lbs, up to 80lbs or more as a team.
