Custom Applicator
$25-35/hr DOE (Depending on Experience)
Day shift (8-10 hour days)

A trusted and growing grain company is seeking a Custom Applicator to join their team! If you demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to safety and quality, along with the ability to maintain equipment effectively, and manage a fast-paced seasonal workload this position could be a great fit for you.
Responsibilities:
- Apply dry and liquid fertilizer, chemicals, lime, and NH3 to customer fields safely and accurately
- Maintain & record maintenance of application equipment, tending equipment, NH3 equipment, pickups, side dress units, etc
- Record daily application logs, weather conditions, product usage, and rates
- Operate and maintain application equipment, tender trucks, forklifts, and other machinery
- Read and understand label information and instructions from manufacturers and distributors of pesticides, fertilizers, and other products containing dangerous or hazardous chemicals, products or substances.
- Assists in inventory management
- Assist with fertilizer handling, blending, loading/unloading, and inventory counts
- Fill NH3 nurse tanks and support field applicators as needed
- Load, secure, and properly placard outbound shipments
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and perform general housekeeping duties
- Help ensure equipment is in safe working condition through routine maintenance
- Provide excellent customer service and support
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operations, including maintenance, feed operations, grain operations, and general operational tasks
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Agricultural background, training or related experience preferred
- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license with the expectation to achieve a Class A Commercial Driver’s license (CDL) within 90 days of employment
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to listen carefully and follow instructions. Strong multitasking and task prioritization skills.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with co-workers
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised in (at times) a fast paced environment. Ability to be tolerant of long, irregular working hours, including weekends, during peak busy seasons.
- Understanding of, or willingness to learn, general maintenance of machinery, equipment, and vehicles.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk, cary, or move up to 50lbs
