Diesel Technician
$24.05 - $32.97 Based on Experience
Mon-Fri, occasional Sat | 1st shift 7:30a-5:00p; 2nd shift 12:30p-9:00p
Are you an experienced, passionate Diesel Mechanic and want to be part of a hard working, fast paced work environment? If so, this position is for you! A local Ag Equipment dealer is looking for experienced Diesel Technicians to join their growing team. As a Diesel Technician, you would be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing agricultural equipment to help deliver top notch service to their rapidly growing customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair agricultural equipment including tractors, combines, balers, sprayers, tillage equipment, and planters.
- Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Provide assistance to all other levels of technicians as needed in regard to troubleshooting repairs.
- Maintains paperwork documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2-year technical degree or high school diploma/GED and several years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
- 2+ years of relevant diesel equipment repair experience preferred; Previous experience with AGCO, CLAAS or Versatile products is a plus but not required.
- Ability to push/pull up to 50lbs., lift/carry up to 60lbs; Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and grasp.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must provide own general automotive tools.
Benefits and Pay:
- Starting Pay: $24.05 - $32.97/hr. DOE
