4 day work week or 5 day work week with overtime!
A local company that serves it's customers through the manufacture, repair, and sale of livestock equipment in the Sheldon, Iowa area is hiring for assemblers to join their team! This position produces components in electric, hydraulic and mechanical areas by assembling parts and subassemblies. Making quality components to pass on to downstream departments or final customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, sales sheets and parts list; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
Qualifications
- Candidates should have a mechanical aptitude with an eye for detail. Hydraulic and or/or electrical knowledge is helpful
