Estimator | $55k-$80k DOE
An established construction company in the Pender, NE area is searching for an experienced Estimator to join their growing team! This Estimator will work both independently and, on a team, to ensure each project is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner that meets the unique needs of each customer.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure company profitability goals are met
- Lead estimating efforts on projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid to build process
- Coordinate efforts with Chief Operations Officer and Superintendents to manage resources to meet project schedule
- Participate in bid review and bid closing to ensure accuracy of bid and valuate project feasibility; work with Chief Operations Officer to develop bid schedule
- Coordinate with Chief Operations Officer, Superintendent and project team to develop comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-off
- Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, company management, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base
- Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance
- Manage and submit shop drawings and job communication
Requirements:
- Fully versed in review of specs/plans, take-offs, determining scope of work, and communicating the same
- Comprehension of Purchase Order and Subcontract Agreement language with ability to negotiate terms with vendors is a plus
- Must have familiarity with computers and most general software, preferably scheduling and estimating software
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry practices
