FSQA Manager

Are you a results-driven FSQA Manager passionate about continuous improvement and direct operational impact? Responsibilities:

  • Direct and enhanced Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) programs, encompassing HACCP, SSOPs, SOPs, and GMPs.
  • Guarantee adherence to BRC, USDA Organic, and other third-party audit standards.
  • Direct the performance and development of the Quality Assurance team.
  • Take ownership of validating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation and robust quality systems.
  • Spearhead internal auditing initiatives and meticulously prepare for, and respond to, external audits.
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships with R&D, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to proactively resolve quality issues and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Safeguard product quality by verifying sanitation and environmental monitoring effectiveness.
  • Function as the essential communication link for regulatory bodies and customer quality representatives.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of FSQA experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably NRTE.
  • HACCP and PCQI certifications strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in fully cooked proteins, cheeses, breads, and egg products.
  • Proven success in BRC and Organic certification audits.
  • Demonstrated success leading QA teams in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in process validation, documentation, and root cause analysis.
