Responsibilities:
- Direct and enhanced Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) programs, encompassing HACCP, SSOPs, SOPs, and GMPs.
- Guarantee adherence to BRC, USDA Organic, and other third-party audit standards.
- Direct the performance and development of the Quality Assurance team.
- Take ownership of validating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation and robust quality systems.
- Spearhead internal auditing initiatives and meticulously prepare for, and respond to, external audits.
- Foster cross-functional partnerships with R&D, Operations, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to proactively resolve quality issues and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Safeguard product quality by verifying sanitation and environmental monitoring effectiveness.
- Function as the essential communication link for regulatory bodies and customer quality representatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of FSQA experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably NRTE.
- HACCP and PCQI certifications strongly preferred.
- Expertise in fully cooked proteins, cheeses, breads, and egg products.
- Proven success in BRC and Organic certification audits.
- Demonstrated success leading QA teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficient in process validation, documentation, and root cause analysis.
