Fiber Optic Splicer
Mon - Fri, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM with overtime & on-call as needed

Responsibilities will include:
- Splice fiber optic cables using equipment such as fusion splicers, cleavers and other tools
- Maintain detailed records of fiber optic infrastructure, anomalies and corrective actions
- Perform fiber topic splicing, testing & troubleshooting
- Perform fiber optic cable preparation & installation
- Read & interpret engineering plans & schematics related to fiber optic networks
- Perform field work including excavation of trenches, installation of conduit and handholes and restoration of work areas
- Management of project time lines & deliverables according to customer specifications
- Provide training & support to junior techs and other team members and customers
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in fiber optic splicing & installation
- Knowledge of fiber optic testing & troubleshooting techniques
- Strong technical skills & ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, maps & blueprints
- Strong attention to detail
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pull and back up trailers
- Must have physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed; travel may be required
- Responsible, self-motivated, hands-on, supervisory experience
- Cares about the job being done & making sure customer is happy with work
