Job Title: QA Ingredient Receiving Technician
5am – 3:30pm Monday - Thursday + most Friday’s + some Saturdays- OT is mandatory
Position Summary
The QA Ingredient Receiving Technician supports the Quality Assurance department by inspecting, analyzing, and testing incoming ingredients to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and ship samples.
- Assist with receiving operations, including checking in trucks and inspecting incoming ingredients for damage.
- Serve as a backup for the QA Raw Materials Inspector.
- Apply and remove hold tags as directed.
- Weigh and inspect outgoing customer shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Complete all required documentation related to incoming ingredients.
- Collect samples and perform measurements to verify compliance with customer specifications.
- Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs), shelf life, item numbers, microbiological data, and allergen/labeling information.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with plant management and production staff.
- Ability to respond to questions professionally and accurately.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Professional phone communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, with regular walking and standing.
- Frequent bending and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Work Environment
- Office setting with frequent exposure to production areas and freezer environments.
- Production areas may be cold, with wet or slippery floors.
Benefits & Pay:
- $18.00 - 19.00 per hour
