General Labor/Heavy Equipment Operator

$25-$30hr DOE

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (hours vary depending on work site location)

A local family owned and operated excavation company is hiring a general labor/heavy equipment operator to join their small team! This is a great opportunity to grow your knowledge in heavy equipment operations near the Holstein, IA area! Apply now while this job opening is available!

Responsibilities:

• Willing to work in multiple roles
• Operating heavy equipment
• Assist maintenance of machinery
• Lay out and survey work sites
• Set stakes, assemble pipe, install septic systems, and drainage tile etc.
• Willingness to obtain a CDL and drive a dump truck
• Act as the right hand man to the owner and perform all duties as assigned
• Willingness to learn and take directions clearly
• Effective communication between you and owner is a must to ensure quality of work is being upheld

Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
• Ability to obtain a Class A CDL
• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Previous heavy equipment operations and a class A CDL is a bonus but is not required

Benefits & Pay:

• $25-$30hr
