Heavy Equipment Operator/Lead

$26-$37hr DOE

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (hours vary depending on work site location)

A local family owned and operated excavation company is hiring a heavy equipment operator/ team lead to join their small team! This is a great opportunity to grow your knowledge in heavy equipment operations and leadership near the Marcus, IA area! Apply now while this job opening is available!

Responsibilities:

• Willing to work in multiple roles
• Operating heavy equipment
• Assist maintenance of machinery
• Lay out and survey work sites
• Ability to complete documentation, time cards and other reports
• Set stakes, assemble pipe, install septic systems, and drainage tile etc.
• Willingness to obtain a CDL and drive a dump truck
• Act as the go to person and lead a small team of general laborers and operators
• Willingness to give directions to other team members
• Effective communication between you and the management team is a must to ensure quality of work is being upheld

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a Class A CDL
• Heavy equipment operating experience
• High school diploma/GED
• Overnights and occasional weekends may be required
• Ability to communicate effectively
