Lab Technician
$31 - $35/hour, based on experience
Monday - Thursday 7am-4:30pm and every other Friday 7am-3:30pm (if hired on it would then be a rotating shift which includes evenings and weekends)

Do you love working in a fast-paced environment?  If so, Sioux City company is hiring a self-starting Lab Technician to join their team.  The Lab Technician is responsible for providing analytical and environmental chemistry support.  You will provide diagnosis, analysis, and advice on plant-wide concerns by applying expertise in chemistry, laboratory techniques, and knowledge of the plant processes and equipment.  You will be ensuring routine water, process and product analyses are completed, recorded, and communicated in an efficient manner.  This job as a Lab Technician is a great opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-centered environment.  If you describe yourself as experienced, analytical, and have excellent communication skills, then we would love you to consider this opportunity.  

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and problem-solving facility concerns
• Perform chemical analyses and non-routine analysis
• Ensure shipments meet specifications
• Support and encourage safe operating procedures and techniques
• Follows instructions, procedures, and takes initiative

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/science or related degree is preferred
• Experienced in a lab setting and the ability to perform chemical analyses
• Valid Driver’s license and the ability to meet insurance requirements
• Ability to work rotating shifts which includes evenings and weekends
• Ability to stand, walk around and climb up 5 flights of stairs through the entire shift
• Technical competence, ability to work in a team environment, and communicate with others
