Laser Operator

$20+/hr

Mon-Fri & e/o Sat.  3:30pm-2am & 11am-5pm Sat.

As a Laser Operator you will run fabricating machines such as cut off saws, shears, brakes, presses, forming machines, drills, angle processing, and more. Must be able to maintain a high level of quality by meeting or exceeding production requirements, and observe machine operation to detect work piece defect or machine malfunction. Great opportunity to work for a stable company that takes pride in their work and impacts lives nationally! 

Requirements: 

• Sets up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, and drill presses
• Responsible for accurately measuring and precisely cutting materials involved in the assigned work
• operates CNC machines to meet parts per hour requirement
• Work at different work stations as production needs require
• Must be able to do simple setups, change punches and die sets, bits and saw blades
• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders
• Good communication skills and follow all safety rules and regulations

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of metal cutting and punching processes and equipment
• Good communication skills relative to supervisor and other related departments.
• Math skills including good understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplication and division. 
• Ability to read tape measure, calipers and ability to read blue print drawings
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Trained in forklift operation a plus or willing to be trained in this area
• Must be able and willing to program all CNC Equipment.
• Must be able to communicate with supporting resources such as Software support and Equipment Technicians.
