Lumber/Galvanizing Production | $17-19/hr

Monday-Friday 6AM-4:30PM (days)
3PM-12:30AM nights (nights)

A metal manufacturing company in Cherokee, Iowa is hiring a production worker to join their growing team. This production opportunity works with the galvanizing/lumber team to operate material handling equipment, i.e., banders, scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Team atmosphere with room to grow with an established company.

Duties:

• Operate saws, drill press, and various woodworking hand tools
• Quality control of galvanized product in preparation for stock
• Inspect parts for quality and order quantities
• Take directions to fill production orders for our lumber/plastic lumber products
• Wear proper personal protective equipment as trained
• Inspect, label, package, and stage parts for shipment

Requirements:

• Be able to stand/walk up to 10 hours per day
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted occasionally
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Operate material handling equipment example: banders, scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc
• Ability to read a tape measure
