Machinists | $18+/hr - Depending on Experience

Monday-Friday, 5:00pm-3:30am *Overtime on Fridays as needed

We’re partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Pocahontas, IA area to help them find motivated individuals to join their team as Machinists — no prior experience needed! The ideal candidate should have basic math skills, the ability to read a tape measure, and a strong desire to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to learn a valuable trade, we’d love to connect with you!

Responsibilities:

• Machines, welds, assembles, washes and/or paints hydraulic cylinders and/or component parts to blueprint specifications
• Follow manufacturing steps defined on the part routings.
• Report labor in the collection system.
• Being mechanically inclined or having the ability to use various hand tools.
• Responsible for quality of produced product. Follows inspection plan and supports other operators in inspecting of their parts
• If required, stamps the parts produced with their individually assigned stamp
• Responsible for inspection of equipment to ensure proper cleaning of equipment is maintained
• Responsible for preventative maintenance of all equipment
• Operates electric hoist or forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Assists with training of new employees or transferred employees
• Maintain a clean and safe work area consistent with the company’s housekeeping policies
• Performs all work in a safety conscious manner. Be aware of dangers and take all appropriate counter measures to protect yourself and others around you

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Basic skills required as needed to utilize tape measures
• Ability to read precision measuring equipment
• Ability to repeatedly lift, push, or pull the MAXIMUM weight (50#’s) on a routine basis
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.

Pay & Benefits:

• Starting Pay: $18+/hr - DOE
