Maintenance Manager
Monday-Friday, 6am to 3pm
Seeking an experienced and results-oriented Maintenance Manager to lead our technical team at a leading food manufacturing facility. This critical role ensures the continuous operation of production lines, optimizes equipment performance, and upholds the highest standards of food safety, quality, and occupational health and safety regulations (FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP, OSHA).
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, train and develop a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians across multiple shifts.
- Set clear expectations, delegate tasks and provide performance feedback.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of all production machinery.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) effectively for work order management, asset tracking, inventory control, and data analysis.
- Manage and control spare parts inventory to ensure availability while optimizing costs.
- Develop and refine a robust preventive maintenance program.
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of all maintenance activities, including corrective repairs, overhauls and installations.
- Achieve significant reductions in unplanned downtime and optimize asset longevity.
- Maintenance procedures must comply with the requirements of GMP, HACCP and food safety.
- Conduct and support audits and inspections, identifying and resolving potential hazards.
- Collaborate with other departments to align maintenance efforts with operational goals and drive overall plant performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance management experience in a food manufacturing or processing facility with strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Bilingual in Spanish read/write in English.
- Proven experience with CMMS platforms, preferably MVP ONE
- Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems (CARO or CIRO preferred)
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation software and control systems (PLCs)
- Ability to work evening, weekend or on-call hours to support operations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
