Maintenance Tech. | $21.97/hr + $2 night differential DOE

 

1st shift: Tuesday-Friday 5am-3:30pm   2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 4pm-2:30pm

 

An established manufacturing plant in Wayne, NE who is a leader in their industry is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join their team on 1st and 2nd Shift. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs and facility maintenance. This includes electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems, and automated lubrication systems. You'll want to be part of this experienced team that operates with high integrity!

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Diagnoses, trouble shoots, and tests machines and equipment to determine root cause of malfunctions.
  •  Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system.
  • Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles, clutches ball screws.
  • Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe.
  • Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair. Repairs broken parts. Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Ability to read and interpret schematics / blueprints.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other structures.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor.
  • Solid ability in identifying and resolving problems in a timely, effective manner.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
