Maintenance Technician

Day Shift: 5am to 5pm | Night Shift: 5pm to 5am - Rotating Days Off

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the processing equipment. This position is also responsible for regular routine building maintenance. Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs to all production related equipment to ensure continuous operation and production
- Perform preformed maintenance to reduce cost of mechanical repairs
- Perform building maintenance (i.e. - pumps, motors, gear boxes & bearings)
- Assist in new equipment and electrical installations
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s,maintain sanitary conditions and ensure product quality is maintained.
- Responsible for for Food Safety and Food Quality of all products
- Communicate with management regarding any problems, day to day activities, and any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety
- Ability to weld stainless steel or ability to learn
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Prior maintenance experience in an egg processing facility
- Strong mechanical background with 2-3 years related experience
- Ability to read, write and present information in English
- Ability to do simple math calculations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to draw and to draw & interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Occasionally
- Possess good written, verbal, interpersonal and record keeping skills
