Job Title: Plant Maintenance Technician
Location: Norfolk, NE
Shift: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $17/hour+ DOE
Job Summary:
Aventure Staffing is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for a plant in Norfolk, NE. This role involves troubleshooting, equipment repairs, setup, and collaborating with plant operations teams to maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform daily preventive and corrective electrical and mechanical repairs, equipment adjustments, and operational setups on processing and packaging machinery.
- System Logging & Monitoring: Monitor utility meters, refrigeration/steam gauges, and automated warning signals to quickly identify and diagnose malfunctions, leaks, breakages, or component failures.
- Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, automated valves, homogenizers, and conveying systems.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to site safety policies
Requirements & Physical Demands
- Education & Experience: 1+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience (preferably in a food, dairy, or beverage manufacturing environment)
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical background with experience repairing pumps, bearings, valves, gearboxes, and fluid piping systems.
- Environment: Ability to work in varying temperature environments (cooler/refrigerated areas to hot plant environments), humid conditions, high noise levels, and around wet, moving mechanical components.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with food processing equipment, sanitization systems (CIP), pneumatic and hydraulic systems, or boiler/refrigeration utilities.
- Communication: Must be fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
