Maintenance Technician
$25-$35hr DOE
Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM (hours will fluctuate depending on production/team needs)
A well established steel manufacturing facility that has been in business for over 100 years is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join their team! This position works as manufacturing support, diagnosing problems, and appropriate corrective actions.. This is a great opportunity to work with an established facility within the Winterset, IA area! Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, improve, and repair, manufacturing processes
- Provide maintenance support for production equipment and processes
- Diagnose technical problems and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Develop processes and documentation for the maintenance department
- Perform planned and unplanned equipment and facilities maintenance
- Support of continuous improvement efforts related to manufacturing including Safety, Quality, and Delivery
- Collaborate with all departments across multiple functions
- Accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions
- Timely complete annual, biannual, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance required
- LOTO knowledge is required
- Electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control experiences are required
- Hands-on experience with industrial equipment and steel fabrication processes is required
- laser cutting, robotic welder, manual welding, punch presses, and CNC experience highly preferred
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
- Previous experience with CMMS applications
- Solid analytical skills to visualize, articulate, understand, and tell stories using data
- Desire to take initiative and think of solutions for problems that you may encounter
- Solid judgement and critical thinking skills.
- Can easily manage multiple tasks in a well-organized and highly detailed manner while working in a fast-paced, perpetually evolving, relationship-driven environment
- Computer skills with basic applications - MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
