Robotics/CNC Technician | 1st Shift $22.25 - $30.00/hr depending on experience  6:30am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday 

Aventure Staffing is currently seeking to fill a Machinist position. for a well established manufacturing company in Estherville, IA!  As a Machinist, you’ll set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that meet our exacting standards. You’ll work from process routings, blueprints, and verbal instructions to ensure every component is made with precision. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and taking pride in producing quality parts.

Responsibilities:

• Review paperwork, blueprints, fixtures, and gauges to prepare for machine setup.
• Position and secure tools in the machine according to process sheets and setup procedures.
• Set machine controls to the appropriate speeds, feed rates, and cutting depths.
• Load and secure products in jaws or fixtures.
• Index the machine and adjust tool positions to maintain proper clearance and achieve required dimensions and tolerances.
• Run the first piece and verify that it meets specified dimensions.
• Monitor machine operations, changing tooling and inserts as needed.
• Inspect parts regularly to ensure they meet all specifications throughout production.
• Perform complete setups, including bolting fixtures, adjusting tools, setting machine stops, and fine-tuning speeds and feeds.
• Make basic maintenance adjustments and monitor fluid levels to keep machines running smoothly.
• Record daily production and return all setup materials and paperwork to their proper locations.
• Train and assist new operators on machine setup and operation.
• Participate in team EI (Employee Involvement) meetings and contribute ideas.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S practices.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of controls, instrumentation, and manufacturing quality standards.
• Experience using mechanical inspection tools, precision measurement equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and good judgment in decision-making.
• Ability to follow written instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to cross-train in other plant areas as needed.
• Ability to work cooperatively with all departments and assist with setup and training on off-shifts.
