Part Time Custodian | $16/hr
Hours: 1st Shift 6:00am-10:00am Monday-Thursday OT on Fridays as needed
Aventure Staffing is hiring a Part Time Custodian in Laurens, IA. The Part-Time Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the office areas and restroom facilities of the company. This position helps support a professional workplace by ensuring daily cleaning tasks are completed consistently and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize office spaces, breakrooms, conference rooms, restrooms, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
- Clean and restock restroom supplies including soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility
- Clean windows, mirrors, counters, tables, and other surfaces as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of entryways and office walkways
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when supplies need replenished
- Follow company safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist with occasional deep cleaning projects as assigned
- Report maintenance or repair concerns observed during cleaning duties
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Dependable with consistent attendance
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Read, write and communicate in the English Language.
- Able to do minor metal fabrication, with manual lathe and mill, plus welding.
- Physically able to withstand extended physically demanding work that can include occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and must be able to stand or walk on his/her feet for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, twist, climb, and lift above the shoulders frequently.
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks
Pay & Benefits:
- Starting Pay: $16/hr
