Manufacturing Technician / Operator
$18/hr + DOE | $2/hr 2nd Shift Differential
1st & 2nd Shifts Available
A well-established manufacturing company in Orange City, IA is hiring Manufacturing Technicians and Operators to support production and tooling operations. These roles are hands-on and ideal for detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Technician Responsibilities:
- Assemble components by laying composite materials onto molds.
- Perform trimming, vacuum-bagging, basic repair, material preparation, weighing, finishing, and molding operations.
- Inspect in-process and finished products using hand measurement tools.
- Complete accurate recordkeeping of inspection results.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Operator Responsibilities:
- Clean, prepare, and maintain composite molds, fixtures, and tooling using hand tools and release agents.
- Stage tools for daily production work.
- Remove and place tools in racking systems.
- Inspect tooling for wear or damage and communicate concerns with technicians and engineers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written specifications and work instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent hand dexterity and coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for the entire shift.
Pay & Benefits:
- $18/hr + DOE + $2/hr 2nd Shift Differential
- Weekly pay – every Friday
