Diesel Engine / Heavy Equipment Mechanic Starting pay Depending on Experience
Monday through Friday 6:00am – 5:00pm
A well established company in Spencer, IA is looking for a skilled mechanic to inspect, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, trucks, and other machinery. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with heavy-duty diesel systems.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Replace or repair parts and components as needed
- Maintain accurate service records and follow safety procedures
Requirements
- Experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic
- Knowledge of engines, hydraulics, brakes and electrical systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)
- Must be able to lift heavy parts and work in various conditions
