The Sanford Center is seeking a responsible, energetic, and caring individual to join our team as a Before and After School Worker. This position plays a key role in creating a safe, engaging and enriching environment for elementary school students before and after school hours.

Job Title: Before and After School Worker
Employer: The Sanford Center – Sioux City, IA
Pay: Starting at $14.00 per hour
Hours: Split Shift
- Morning: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM (Monday–Friday)
- Afternoon: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM (Monday–Thursday); 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM (Friday)

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage with elementary students in a safe, supportive, and nurturing manner.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, social interaction, and learning.
Assist students with homework and encourage good study habits.
Maintain accurate attendance and daily records.
Help with set-up and clean-up of activity areas.
Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families.
Uphold all Sanford Center policies and ensure a positive environment for all children.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
Experience working with children, especially elementary-age students, is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
Ability to work split shifts and be punctual and dependable.
Creative, energetic, and passionate about youth development.

Must pass background check and any required training.
