Paint Operator
$18 /hr
1st Shift – Mon–Thurs 6:00am–3:30pm, Friday 6:00am–10:00am
Are you a detail-oriented, results-driven manufacturing professional? If so, this position is for you! A local, well-established company in Orange City is looking for a Paint Operator to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and experience preparing and finishing parts in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
• Paint parts according to customer specifications and work instructions
• Sand, clean, and prepare parts prior to painting
• Mask non-painted surfaces to ensure clean, precise finishes
• Mix paints according to proper ratios and specifications
• Operate automated downdraft spray booth, paint application equipment, and fresh air systems
• Clean and maintain painting equipment and work area
• Perform quality checks to ensure finished parts meet standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of applying adhesives, fillers, and primers preferred
• Familiarity with paint mixing ratios
• Ability to use basic paint prep tools, including sanders
• Ability to comprehend and follow written specifications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
• Excellent hand dexterity and coordination
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for entire shift
