An established law firm in Sioux City, IA is seeking an entry level Paralegal/Legal Assistant to add to their growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for directly supporting litigation attorneys with day to day functions of both clients and case management & similar duties consistent with the firms needs. This role is for a self-motivation individual with a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and organize litigation materials (Medical, insurance records, bills, expenses) from appropriate parties
- Maintain communication with clients to obtain information and keep them apprised of case status
- Opening and setting up new files as well as the organization of already existing cases and files
- Maintain calendar and case management system to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed in a timely manner
- Assist with drafting of pleadings and discovery documents
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in paralegal/legal assistant preferred, but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook) required.
- Time management and client database computer program experience is preferred, but not required

- $18-$35/hr (Based on experience)
