Parts Counter Assistant $18.75/hr
Monday-Friday 7am-5pm available.
Aventure Staffing is seeking a Parts Counter Assistant to work for a well established salvage yard in Spencer, IA! Training is provided on site, no experience necessary!
Responsibilities:
- Locate and acquire parts, materials, and supplies needed for equipment repair
- Read and understand parts catalog when looking up part
- Answer phone calls, obtain price quotes and other information
- Maintain parts and supply inventory using physical and electronic records and files
- Pick up parts order or arrange for delivery
- Receive deliveries, verify accuracy of shipments and inspect for damage and defects
- Maintain a positive working relationship with vendors and shop personnel
- Process and track work orders
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Including Outlook, Excel & Word)
- Strong attention to detail and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Prior parts experience and/or mechanical background
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and set deadlines to meet goals.
