Parts Procurement Specialist
$50k/year or more, based on experience
Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

A family-owned heavy-duty truck dealer in Sioux City, IA is hiring a professional and organized Parts Procurement Specialist to join their growing team.  The Parts Procurement Specialist will build strong vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely availability of products.  This person will work independently and collaborate with internal teams to optimize inventory and drive cost efficiencies.  This is a great opportunity to work with a company with a family-friendly culture that offers a work/life balance, competitive wages, and benefits.

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct competitive analyses and monitor market trends
• Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of CSR submissions
• Collaborate with parts teams and streamlining submission process for multiple locations
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and profitability
• Ensure timely procurement and availability of parts, monitor stock levels, and source hard-to-find parts
• Maintain accurate procurement records and generate detailed reports
• Partner with other departments to align procurement activities

 Requirements: 

• High School Diploma/GED is required
• 2 + years of procurement, parts management, or related field
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field is a plus
• Experience in conducting competitive analyses and market research
• Computer skills MS Office Suite (especially Excel), internet, email, and ability to quickly learn industry software
• Valid driver’s license and meet the company’s insurability requirements
