Payroll Clerk
$23 to $25/hour DOE
Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM
A local office is hiring an auditor clerk to join their team! This position works to provide a variety of of accounts payable, budget, elections and customer service duties for real estate, property tax, and payroll areas. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting/payroll functions in compliance with county policies and applicable laws
- Assure security of confidential information payroll records
- Work closely with employees regarding payroll or benefit changes and updated county personnel
- Process biweekly payroll and expenditures related to insurances
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and accruals
- Assist with phone calls and real estate inquiries
- Perform support functions for the County Board of Supervisors
- Assist in yearly audit preparation
- Perform prompt and regular attendance
- Perform all other related duties as established and reasonably directed by the County Auditor
Requirements:
- Experience in accounting or related field with payroll/customer service
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Ability to multi task
- Proficiency in computer applications including Word and Excel
- Proficient time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- High level math skills required
- Initiative and commitment to complete tasks in a timely manner
