QR Seed Lab Tech - Willing to Train | $17 per hour

Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, Some Saturdays

A local seed Warehouse is seeking a QR Seed Lab Tech to join their growing team! We’re looking for someone who’s curious, detail-oriented, and enjoys hands-on work with plants and seeds! As part of their QR (Quality & Research) team, you’ll help make sure our seeds meet top-notch quality standards before they go to customers or into research trials. You’ll play an important role in testing, collecting data, and keeping things running smoothly in the lab. Must have forklift experiece! 

Responsibilities:

• Run tests on seed samples
• Record test results and help keep our quality data accurate and organized
• Check seedlings for vigor, abnormalities, and other traits
• setting up, collecting data, and keeping things on track
• Work closely with the QR and production teams to troubleshoot and improve processes
• May work in warehouse, do some maintenance and other duties as assigned
• MUST have forklift experience

Requirements:

• Ability to lift seed bags weighing up to 50bs. repetitively
• Ability to stand or walk up to 8 hours per day
• MUST have forklift experience
• Must have computer experience
• detail-oriented who likes hands-on work
• A team player who’s not afraid to get a little dusty
• Comfortable working with data and following established testing method
