Our client is located in the Michigan City, Indiana area. Relocation is available. Benefits Start: Day One.
What does this role look like?
The Quality Compliance Manager:
- Creates metrics to monitor compliance
- Facilitates 3rd Party Audits
- Acts as the Primary Resource and Coordinator of Sanitary Design & Change Control Activities
- Ensures HACCP & Food Safety Plans are up to date
- Serves as a technical liaison for the facility and procurement on supplier related defects and improvement opportunities
- Evaluates, understands, and develops plans to comply with customer requirements
- Works with procurement to establish a supplier rating and corrective/preventative process to improve supplier quality
- Manages compliance schedules with all departments
- Facilitates internal auditing processes & maintains/performs training on departmental-specific policies, procedures, and programs
- Serves as a back up to the Quality Manager, if needed.
What do you bring to the Position?
- 4 Year College Degree or University program certification in food safety, microbiology, biology or science.
- 2-4 Years of Experience in Compliance and/or Commercialization in food industry, product development, etc.
- HACCP & PCQI Certifications
- ISO, ASQ and/or SQF/BRC Certifications
- Familiarity with state and federal food processing regulations
- Ability to work independently.
- MS Office Suite + SAP Experience
- Problem Solving Skills including RCA-CAPA Tools
- Knowledge of Ingredient Hazards in accordance with FSMA, Intentional adulteration Risk Assessments and Food Defense
