Sales Agronomist

$70k to $130k a year salary DOE

Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM (hours will extend past 5pm during seasonal operations)

A local progressive Cooperative is hiring a Sales Agronomist to join their team! This position works to support and grow an already established book of business. Responsibilities:

• Promote the business to new and existing customers
• Develop and maintain vast knowledge of provided products
• Assist in ordering products for the location (seed, chemical, and fertilizer)
• Closely watch pricing ranges and set pricing to ensure profitability
• Soil sampling/mapping
• Oversee precision ag needs (internal and external)
• Act as a middle man between customers and management to ensure customer satisfaction
• Oversee maintenance and housekeeping of all agronomy facilities
• Assist in establishing and implementing short-term goals and budgets that are consistent with long range plans for growth in operation, including facility, equipment, and personnel
• schedule deliveries to customers

Requirements:

• Ability to lead sell to new customers while maintaining a current customer list
• Good communication skills
• Bachelors in agronomy or related field
• 2+ years experience in the agriculture industry
• Great problem solving skills
• Maintain a clean driving record
• Proficient time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• $70k to $130k  a year base salary DOE + commissions
