Smokehouse Operator $22.05/hr 

Monday-Friday, 2:30PM-12:00AM

* Position/training will start on day shift at $19.55/hr. Once Smokehouse Operator training is completed, pay will increase to $22.05/hr and move to 2nd shift. 6 month and 12 month pay raises will follow!

A well established company in Cherokee, IA is looking for an Smokehouse Operator to join their night shift production team. You will be responsible for overseeing the smokehouse operations and maintaining detailed record keeping throughout the process to ensure all food safety procedures are met.

Responsibilities:

• Smokehouse Operators will be responsible for all of the process steps for operation of the smokehouses; including procedures of loading, taking and recording temperatures, unloading racks of product and weighing racks of finished product
• Operators must follow food safety, safety policies, rules, programs, and practices at all times
• All other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 6 months production/smokehouse experience, preferred
• Attention to detail, required
• Must be forklift certified or able to become certified
• Must be able to be able to work in temperatures of 38-40 degrees
• Must be able to stand in one place for up to 8 hours per day
