Transfer Worker: Transfer baby chicks off assembly line and place into crates and stack. Fast paced / heavier lifting.
(Take trays of incubated eggs to an area where they use an automated system to puncture the egg and distribute a vaccine inside the embryos. Read instructions on which set of eggs to transfer and how many. Check on incubators, clean them out once chicks have hatched. Trays weigh up to 35lbs and standing for long periods of time with repetitive movement. )
Tues/Wed & Sat/Sun, 4am-until work is completed, $14.50 base pay, time and half ($21.75) for all hours worked on Sat & Sun.
Responsibilities:
- Transfer and process eggs from boxes onto trays
- Load trays onto carts
- Check eggs for imperfections
- Regular inspection of eggs/chicks while incubating
- Transfer baby chicks and prepare for shipment
- Regular sanitation
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs frequently
- Ability to lift approx. 13 to 30lbs over the shoulders/head repeatedly
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
